Replacing a keyboard on the Panasonic Toughbook CF-30

How to replace the keyboard on the Panasonic Toughbook CF-30 ruggedized laptop. Replacing the keyboard on this laptop involves a couple of extra steps that standard laptops do not have. In the video below we give you a step by step description of how to remove this keyboard without damaging any other parts of the assembly. A quick tip to help in the removal is to slide the keyboard up before lifting. this keyboard has some studs under the keyboard that slide into a groove. The older versions like the CF-29 and the CF-28 keyboard did not have this attaching mechanism. We note this in the video so just watch for the note on your screen.
Some important part numbers that are associated with this repair are: The thin cover that is first removed from the laptop - DFHR6260 The keyboard part number N2ABZJ000033 The cover underneath the keyboard - DFKE0858 As always we caution you to always remove the battery and unplug your Toughbook before doing any repair work.   1. I'm always hesitant to replace my laptop keyboard because it might worsen the problem. However, after reading your post, I think its not that hard to replace the keyboard on the Panasonic Toughbook CF-30 ruggedized laptop.
